History of JBB

J C BAMFORD EXCAVATORS LIMITED (JCB) - company history The abbreviation JCB stands for the initials of the founder of the company, Joseph Cyril Bamford, who made his first car - a tipper truck - in 1945, which was the beginning of the history of the family business of the Bamford family. The first machine under the JCB trademark was a backhoe loader. In 1964, when the company entered the North American market, more than 3,000 backhoe loaders were sold. The range of this type of equipment consists of six basic models in more than three dozen design options. The most popular are cars under the JCB 4СХ and JCB 3СХ indexes. The family of crawler excavators includes 15 models with 20 modifications of the chassis and boom (operating weight up to 46 tons). JCB also manufactures more than 55 wheel excavator models that are customizable for travel equipment and boom type and 17 wheel loader models ranging from mini to heavy mining.
